arrangement of shelters in Ukraine
We have a goal – 50 000 places for Internally
Displaced Persons
In April 2022, the NGO "Rotary Club Kyiv International" began the implementation of a large-scale project to arrange shelters for internally displaced persons in various regions of Ukraine.
The goal of the project is to provide comfortable living conditions and sleeping places for internally displaced persons who do not have the opportunity to rent housing and are in temporary shelters.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the temporary accommodation sites have included many schools and dormitories that had to be vacated by September 1 in order to start the school year. Also, the premises are not at all adapted for living, where people sleep on the floor and could neither cook nor wash things.

There were also communities that wanted to receive more people. They have vacant buildings, but there is no way to create conditions for them, to quickly repair and equip them before winter.

That's why we took on the challenge of providing as many people as possible with sleeping places and basic living conditions. So that they could then get a job, somehow adjust their lives in a new place. Many simply have nowhere to return to, their houses have been bombed or the city where they live is still dangerous to be in.
The project has covered more than 20 cities and villages in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Cherkasy, Lviv, Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia regions.
We are infinitely grateful to all our partners, who do not care how Ukrainians live, how they will winter in the conditions of war.
And this is not only financial donor support, but also visits to Ukraine, communication with IDPs, gifts for them. This is really important and valuable — people understand that they have not been forgotten, that they are cared for.

Together to Victory!
